News Letter

At 10.30 am the meeting was opened by A. A. Creech.

Old Business:

discussion took place concerning the absence of council members. Motion duly made, seconded and passed to elect one new council member to replace Wesley Creech.

Motion duly made, seconded and passed to elect Elsie Acevado to the unfinished term of Wesley Creech.

Motion duly made, seconded and passed to elect a new secretary to the Oct. Meeting. Position is open.

Mr. A. A. Creech stated we have had a fair response to the travel fund. Mrs Jean Adams asked that all those who have not paid their share to please try to do so.

Mr. A. A. Creech stated that the trip to Washington D. C. has not been made yet because the Attorney is negotiation with Leo Krulitz and Senator Church to amend a present bill which would include the Idaho Delawares in a 2 million dollar judgment fund which is before Congress. We expect to have more definite news concerning this in the next few weeks.

It was noted that we presently have 171 members in the claim. We had received several new claimants moving the total from 161 to 171.

It is believed that we are moving ahead and it would appear that we are nearing some very definite good news from the Attorney concerning the 2 million dollar judgment fund and the proposed amendment to include our group.

Motion duly made, seconded and passed to close the meeting.

The clan meetings are open to every claimant who wishes to attend. The meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10am at 1360 Topaz Ave. Meridian, Idaho. We would like to see more interest taken. Everybody is invited to attend. We welcome your opinions or questions.
