REUNION SITE CHOSEN!
The site for the Annual Tribal Reunion has been chosen. It will be at Warm Lake Lodge in the upper campground. The reunion is scheduled for July 14th, 15th and 16th this year. Directions and a map to the area will come out with our next newsletter. The area is close to the lake and to the lodge. Continue gathering your prizes for the raffles and mystery auction and either send them to the above address or give them to a council member. The Delawares will again provide the meat (haven’t decided what yet) for the pot luck so get out your recipes and bring your favorite dish. Remember to bring your own table service and drinks.
Nominations are being accepted for council members. Send in names of interested people immediately. The ballot will go out with the next newsletter.
NEXT COUNCIL MEETING
The next council meeting will be held at the home of Charles L Creech, 2310 E. Victory on Saturday, May 20th at 10:00 am.
If you are nearing the age of eighteen and have money held for you in the trust accounts in Oklahoma, be sure to send them your address. If you need the address in Oklahoma write us, we have it.
COUNCIL MEMBER REMEMBERED!
Recently Council Member Shirley Musgrave passed away. We” all felt her loss deeply. In addition to her family, her church, her job and other various interests Shirley was involved with the Delawares of Idaho and was a member of the council for the past several years. She wrote our newsletter for a couple of years and was involved with the work for the annual tribal reunion several years running. Her cheerful attitude and willingness to help were always appreciated and will be missed.
