Billie Creech passed away on the evening of her 48th wedding anniversary, June 17, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in the company of her family.
Billie was born on Nov. 6, 1942, in Billings to Edith Hole and grew up in the Shepherd area with Mama and Daddy (Harry and Florence Parshall.)
In 1957, she met the love of her life Andy, and on June 17, 1960, they became one. Billie had a passion for animals and for several years while raising her family, owned and operated Billie’s Grooming Service, she also loved to cook and cooked at a local retirement home until her illness forced her to retire. She held several jobs during her life but she excelled most in her role as wife, mom and grandmother, lovingly referred to as G-Ma by her grandchildren; she played a huge role in their lives.
As children, we can’t comprehend or fully realize the meaning of our mother’s love, how tender and how wise, the patience and forgiveness that are part of every day, the unexpected “little things” she does in her own way. Years go by before we can look back on life and see through older eyes and wiser hearts her love and loyalty, and yet it’s these and other special things we’ll hold so dear, for memories of her steadfast love will keep her ever near.
Billie, Mom and G-Ma you will be greatly missed by all, but rest in peace mom; Briana and all of us will look after Dad.
Billie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Florence Parshall; her mom Edith Hole; and sister-in-law Dolores Schneider.
She is survived by her husband, Angelo Creech; her sister Kathy (Dan) Michael; a son Brian (Nikki); three daughters, Stacy (Chris), Sara (Willie) and Paulette (Justin); 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; numerous cousins; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 24 2008, at Smith’s Downtown Chapel, 925 South 27 Street. Burial of the urn will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be sent to Help for Homeless Pets, 2901 Hannon Road, Billings, MT 59101.
