Delawares of Idaho, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to:
- promoting the interests and well-being of Delaware Indians, wherever they may reside;
- to encourage the development of a historical and tribal tradition for persons descended from Delaware Indian ancestors;
- to inculcate in the members of the Corporation a sense of pride and privilege in being Delaware Indians and descendants of Delaware Indians;
- to make every effort to obtain for the members of the Corporation all perquisites, prerogatives and rights to which American Indians of The United States of America are generally entitled;
- to gain for the members of the Corporation the rights of compensation and ownership interest to which they are entitled in ancestral lands of the Delaware Indians, wherever located;
- to gain recognition as a federally recognized tribe or band of Indians;
- to do all things necessary to promote the welfare and best interests
of members of the Corporation as Delaware Indians.
